The Secret of True Wealth!
Wrong desire for money is the root of all evil
1TI 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
JOS 7:20 Achan replied, "It is true! I have sinned against the LORD, the God of Israel. This is what I have done: 21 When I saw in the plunder a beautiful robe from Babylonia, two hundred shekels of silver and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them. They are hidden in the ground inside my tent, with the silver underneath."
Wealth is one of God’s blessings
DT 8:17 You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me." 18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.
PR 10:22 The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.
Seven Steps to Receiving Wealth from God
1. Be humble and fear the Lord
PR 22:4 Humility and the fear of the LORD bring wealth and honor and life.
2. Recognize the opportunity whose time has come and take advantage of it
ECC 9:11 I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.
JER 17:5 This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD. 6 He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity when it comes.
3. Sow even when times are hard. God can only bless what you sow.
GE 26:1 Now there was a famine in the land--besides the earlier famine of Abraham's time--and Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines in Gerar.
GE 26:12 Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the LORD blessed him. 13 The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.
4. Work diligently and you will be wealthy. Don’t waste time, don’t be lazy, it leads to poverty.
PR 10:4 Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.
5. Honor the Lord by giving Him the firstfruits of all your wealth
PR 3:9 Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; 10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.
6. Be generous and willing in sharing your wealth
1TI 6:17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.
7. Be ________with _________and God will trust you with _______ ________
LK 16:10 "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. 11 So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? 12 And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else's property, who will give you property of your own? 13 "No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money."
God’s ____________ is the source of true wealth.
PR 8:12 "I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion.
PR 8:18 With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity.
PR 8:19 My fruit is better than fine gold; what I yield surpasses choice silver.
PR 8:20 I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of justice,
PR 8:21 bestowing wealth on those who love me and making their treasuries full.
True wealth is _________________________
EPH 1:18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe.
